What an amazing thriller by Amal Neerad! It looks like a pretty simple story of a couple that moves back in their native village.The young couple shifts from Dubai and this story tells us about the challenges they face as outsiders.Varathan means 'The Outsider'.
As the story progresses, we see some scary situations unfold before our eyes. The story gave me goosebumps and we can actually feel their helplessness and fear. What a sorry plight!
Fahaadh Fasil plays the role of Abin and Aishwarya plays the role of Priya, his wife. Outstanding job done by each and every character in making this movie so engaging. The climax is astounding and makes our hearts pound. Fahaadh is amazing as usual and Aishwarya too has played her part with conviction. Awesome action scenes and aerial photography. The location, background score and the camera work is simply excellent.
What an end to a wonderful movie. The last 40 minutes are really something else! It's so sinister that we can hear our hearts beating faster. It angers us and makes us want to scream seeing the predicament they are in. What a shame that such things happen in society. What a display of amazing acting! So controlled and full of pain and anger.
A must watch!
