'The powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse.'
'Only in their dreams can men be truly free,
It was thus,
And will always be.'
Dead Poets' Society
What a gem of a movie!
Robin Williams is John Keating, a teacher of English at the exclusive Welton Academy in Vermont. His style of teaching is unconventional and out of the box. He encourages students to seize the moment(carpe diem) and find their true calling. The movie has character and a lot of depth. All the actors play their role to perfection. The last few minutes of the movie are really emotional and I could not stop myself from crying. The location and the music is wonderful.
This is a story about the bond between a teacher and his students. The impact a teacher can have in his students is really immense and undeniable. A must watch for all parents, teachers and educators.
Some great verses by poets, brilliant acting by Robin Williams and a beautiful storyline make up for an amazing watch. This movie is neither fast-paced nor thrilling, yet it touches you in many ways. Don't miss this one.
It's streaming on Disney+Hot star.
